This past weekend I went to see this group at the Citizens Bank Arena here in Philly. It was a night of firsts.
The first night I had ever seen Bon Jovi, the first night at the new ball park and the first night seeing the other band below.
My cousin had asked me to go to this concert about a month ago. She LOVES Bon Jovi and who was I to deny her. She even bought my ticket but for $95 per ticket I almost had a stroke and wondered if seeing a band was worth it. She was nice enough to have bought it for my graduation present (more about this later).

Bon Jovi gave a kickin concert. They must have tons of money because the stage was fabulous with the light shows and videos going, etc. They were very interactive with the crowd, which I LOVE in a band.

Ritchie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi are still hot after all these years. I’m not a huge fan of their music, and for a Jersey girl I hate to admit that, but the evening was fabulous.

This band opened the evening, somewhat.

There was a local band that originally opened and then Nickelback appeared after them.

I am starting to LOVE Nickelback and was more hyped to see them than Bon Jovi.

Nickelback was great and very interactive although some of their language probably made the parents of small children cringe. They were fabulous nonetheless and I can’t wait to see them again in the future.

And finally, are any of you past listeners of Pat Benatar? Do you remember her?

Well she is still around and she tours pretty much every year. She has about 9 or 10 albums out during the course of her career, not including all the “greatest hits” albums her record label put out. She has a huge U.S. following and quite a number of international fans that even fly in for her shows at times.

I’m mentioning her because I have a friend who is a freakish fan of hers and he goes to see her everytime she’s in the Florida area and a few other times when she wasn’t in the Florida area. I actually just saw her at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. She always gives a good show. Go see her, it will bring back some memories.

Are you seeing any good bands this year or summer? What do you think about the crazy ticket prices?
