Turkeys try for fast train out of Jersey

Some wild turkeys, it appears, were trying to get out of New Jersey before Thanksgiving Day. A spokesman for the NJ Transit said train officials reported a dozen or so wild turkeys waiting on a station platform in Ramsey, about 20 miles northwest of New York City, on Wednesday afternoon. The line travels to Suffern, N.Y.

And for those of you who are Sex & the City fans, Suffern is where Aidan had his cabin. Maybe the turkeys were trying to visit Carrie and Aidan at the cabin???

I’m gonna start posting some odd ball news. It’s the best kind and it’s funny, without all the depressing stuff going on day by day.

    My cousin lives in Suffern. The turkeys had a better chance in Jersey.

    I know that train station … I hope they didn’t jump onto the tracks.

    As for Suffern, my sister lived there a number of years back and I’d visit every weekend. I can understand why the turkeys would want to go there. It’s situated right up against the Ramapo mountains, and has easy access to the malls.
