Autumn leaves

Who wants to help with the raking?

Part of my hammock. The rest has been put away for the winter. *sigh*

raking the backyard, yesterday.

raking and blowing the section of yard just outside my back door

blowing the leaves from my driveway to the street

my neighbors tree looking out my front window (Friday).

Same tree on Saturday. Do you believe it?

good lord, that’s a lot of leaves!!!

i refuse to rake mine, because they are so pretty. our little front yard is literally covered in a foot of them. but i love it.

plus, can you picture me raking? ha!

N – I can’t picture you raking, you wouldn’t be able to see the rake in front of the baby belly. : )

Although, the leaf blower is good fun, as well.

My last house had no where near this many leaves. I’ll have to rake a few more times before the trees are bare. Luckily they collect the leaves once a week. At my last house they collected ONCE, that’s it!

I don’t rake. A lawnmower with a grass catcher, a garbage can with a plastic line and a couple of Bud Lites works for me.

What is this raking leaves you speak of? Is there no wind in your area of the world? ;^)

I don’t rake leaves. I figured the world survived before the invention of rakes, my yard will survive without a rake too. 😀

I’m a weirdo because I used to like raking leaves. I really did! Then the kids would dive into the piles and well.. I’d have to rake again. 🙂

  7. Superwoman said,

Yep, the lawnmower works for me too. Then the leaves go into the flowerbeds for a little compost.

My back hurts just looking at those pictures.

I love my blue spruce trees. No leaves.

it is raining pretty hard and the wind is whipping around. the leaves are flying everywhere and even setting off my motion light at the back door. Guess who has even MORE leaves to rake/blow this weekend?

Any volunteers? Anyone? I will pay in beer and pizza?

Hubby likes to wait until all the leaves fall then he has a mower with a leaf catcher thingy. Me, I despise raking!

I know the feeling Teri. On Friday the leaves were pretty much still in the trees and by Saturday I got up, looked out the window, and wondered why they all had fallen. Weird. But it’s about time. Last year the leaves were gone by the second or third week of October!

I might be going out on a limb here, but those pics just make me want to leave them alone.
