This and that

July 21, 2008 at 10:32 pm (misc, movies, tv shows)

I went to see “The Dark Knight” yesterday. Very good movie. I really enjoy Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger was excellent in the film, as well. Some people, unfortunately had nightmares when they saw it. Poor baby, I feel bad for her. Nightmares about movies, SUCK!

There is a show on my Direct TV called “Odyssey: Driving Around the World“. It’s an interesting documentary about a group of people, who specialize in specific things (mechanic, maps, technology, etc.) who are driving around the world. Now I really thought this was impossible to drive around the world but when you see the map and how they get from South America to Australia, you understand. The expedition is to benefit Parkinson’s and they have numerous sponsors. Check it out if you have Direct TV. It’s on channel 101. Also, check out the website, linked above, and watch the video which explains who everyone is.

I’m embarking on a change that I haven’t done since I was in high school. I want to be healthier considering age is an inevitable thing. I want to make this change for a few different reasons and hopefully everything will go as planned. This is where my Hope comes in. Wish me luck and I’ll let you know how I do.

Can’t wait to see “Dark Knight.” I haven’t heard anything bad about it yet.

I wish you luck in trying to be healthier. If you do well, share it with us — old ladies want to know!

i was going to try that in the form of roller derby and look where it got me!! lol!!!

heard dark knight was awesome, was going to see it but the lines were just too long and i’m still recovering so i passed … i think it’s weird that the joker looks like the crow and they both passed away after the movie was done … strange

I liked the movie.. I didn’t LUV the movie. I mean, let’s face it — it was no “Transformers” hee..hee.hee… and Bales “batman” voice drove me…well…batty! *giggle*

Luck on the “change” uhhh..that sounded weird. šŸ™‚

    LUCK Lady!

I seem to have put on weight the past month or so, now I don’t have my daily 3 mile hike to do and my usual job to distract me from things like EATING. šŸ™‚ So I am aiming to get my ass in gear too. I mean I don’t look a lot different but stuff SQUISHES when I sit down!!!

I haven’t been to a theatre in ages but I’m more interested in this Batman than any of the others.
No Direct TV. Sounds like an interesting program.
Good luck with the whole getting healthier thing. Just stay off the roller skates.
